Michigan State plans to fire Mel Tucker for cause

Michigan State University plans to fire football coach Mel Tucker for cause after he was accused of sexual harassment, the school announced in a statement Monday.
Tucker, who is in his fourth season and has a $95 million contract, was suspended without pay Sept. 10 after USA Today reported that Brenda Tracy, a sexual assault prevention activist, accused Tucker of making sexually explicit comments and masturbating during a phone call. Tucker claimed their relationship was “mutually consensual and intimate.”
